Device Information: We collect limited technical information about your mobile device, such as the operating system version and general device model, so that the App works correctly and so we can diagnose problems. We do not collect advertising identifiers, hardware serial numbers, or any other persistent device identifier.
Install ID: When you first open the App we generate a random install ID and store it on your device. It is sent to our servers so that a subscription you have purchased can be verified and applied to this installation. It is not derived from your device or your Google account, it is not an advertising identifier, and it tells us nothing about you personally. Clearing the App's data or reinstalling creates a new install ID; restoring your purchases links the new one.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the app, including features used, scan frequency, and session duration.
Camera Access: The app requires camera access to scan trading cards. Photos taken are processed locally on your device and sent to our AI service provider for card recognition. We do not store these images on our servers.
Collection Data: When you add cards to your collection, we store this information locally on your device. This includes card names, set information, prices, and scan timestamps.
Premium Subscription: Payment processing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment information directly.

Card Recognition: We use third-party AI services to analyze card images. Images are transmitted solely for recognition purposes and are not stored by Portal Card Scanner.
Affiliate Links: Purchase links in the App may include affiliate tracking parameters. We may earn a commission when you make purchases through these links at no additional cost to you.
Google AdMob: For free users, we display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may also serve advertisements supplied by its mediation partners, currently Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads and AppLovin. These partners may collect device and usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Our Servers: Card recognition, price lookups and subscription checks are handled by our own backend service. Card images are sent for recognition and are not retained afterwards. When you scan a card that is missing from our catalogue, the card's public details and picture may be saved to our database so that future scans can identify it — this concerns the card, not you.
Local Storage: Your collection data is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit or store this information on remote servers.
Security Measures: We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information.
Data Retention: Collection data remains on your device until you manually delete it or uninstall the app.
This app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
